A GOOSE has had to be euthanised after it was injured by yobs in St Helens town centre.
Police say they have had reports of youths along Brook Street, in St Helens, attempting to injure geese on Wednesday afternoon, March 22.
The RSPCA also attended and found a goose in a "poor condition".

In a statement, police in St Helens said: "Unfortunately earlier this afternoon our local PCSO was called to the area following reports of an injured bird.
"The RSPCA have since been in attendance to assist our officer and sadly the Goose will have to be euthanised due to its poor condition.
"If you see this type of activity please call Merseyside Police - 101 or 999 in an emergency
"Alternatively you can report via Twitter Merseyside Police Contact Centre or Facebook - Merpol CC."
They added: "We will now be making contact with nearby premises, seeking CCTV footage to identify and arrest the offender/s.
"If you have information you believe could assist us, please use any of the above reporting methods or you can report anonymously using Crimestoppers 0800 555 111."
