A COMMUNITY rugby league club is rallying for support in order to improve their facilities and equipment.
Haresfinch Rugby and Community Club, based on Haresfinch Road, have been operating as a community rugby club for more than four decades.
The club shows budding athletes as young as under 7s their first tricks of the trade and coaches players right through to the open age team, who compete in North West Division One.
The volunteer-led club is also well known for its hosting of community events and fundraisers at its clubhouse and function room.

A staple part of the amateur rugby league scene in St Helens, those involved at Haresfinch are now on a "mission" to get to the next level and improve their equipment and facilities.
Setting up an online fundraiser, the club hopes to raise enough money to purchase a new sports camera with live streaming facilities.
This will allow Haresfinch to capture all the action on the field and share it with fans, families, and friends who are unable to attend the games in person.
It will also enable them to look back on games and find areas of improvement.
Jordon Morris, a player at Haresfinch who set up the fundraiser, said: "As a community rugby club, we believe that sports can bring people together and build strong relationships within our community.
"By upgrading our equipment, we can enhance the experience of everyone involved and create a more engaging atmosphere for our players, coaches and supporters.
"The new camera will enable us to produce high-quality video content that can be shared on social media platforms and our website.
"This will not only benefit our club but also help to promote rugby league in our local area."
Hoping to raise around £1000, Jordon said that everyone who donates will be named on the club's website and social media platforms to show their gratitude.
This support will "make a difference and help us to continue to grow and develop as a club", Jordon added.
