A POPULAR Bar and Grill that lies just outside St Helens has been named as the 'Restaurant of the Year' at a tourism awards ceremony.
Located on Shop Road in Knowsley, Antonio's Bar and Grill is a boutique eatery inspired by Shakespearean England.
With a traditional and luxurious interior, Antonio's has become well-known for its mouth-watering menu that blends cuisines from across the globe.
This includes the restaurant's popular steak and grilled meat courses, as well as dishes such as Hoi Sin Duck Pasta, Pan Fried Seabass, Steak Fajitas, and Salt & Pepper Chicken.

With people travelling from all over Merseyside to try the food at Antonio's, the restaurant was recognised as the 'Restaurant of the Year' at this year's Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.
The award adds to the restaurant's impressive CV after previously winning two Good Food Awards, a Trip Advisor Traveller's Choice Award, and a Knowsley Business Award.
Owner Tony Cummins said he and the team at Antonio's are "extremely humbled and overwhelmed" to be named as 'Restaurant of the Year', and were honored to be named amongst the shortlisted finalists.
Speaking about the business, Tony said: "The food and hospitality industry is continuously evolving so I want Antonio’s to stand for value and integrity, we don’t want to be stuck on a systematic conveyer belt which seeks quantity over quality.
"Our journey is taking us back to the roots; where produce wasn't perfect, but it was right. We want to bring that back.
"We ensure every ingredient used in our dishes at Antonio’s is sourced with integrity and sustainability.
"It is in doing so that we ensure all of our dishes have a unique and personal history and a story to tell."
Recognising excellence across the city region, the Tourism Awards shine a light on businesses that provide high quality products and experiences in the hospitality industry.
With the 'Restaurant of the Year' title bound to attract more people to Antonio's, it will also put the restaurant forward to the Visit England National Awards, where the team hopes to further its success.
