RESIDENTS only have two weeks left to apply for free road closure to host street parties for the King’s Coronation.
For those who want to hold street parties over the weekend of May 6 to 8, St Helens Borough Council will provide free road closures where appropriate to celebrate His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation. There are lots of opportunities for communities to come together over the course of the weekend through the Coronation Big Lunch.
Whether you want to organise a street closure or for those who cannot, you could always hold a street meet to celebrate the Coronation.
Councillor Andy Bowden, Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport, added: "We want to do what we can to support communities that want to celebrate the coronation and you can get more information about how our highways team can support you to host your own street party safely wherever possible as we know so many have successfully hosted events like this previously.
"Please do make sure to get your application in before Friday, March 24 which is the deadline for entries."
The deadline for street party and road closure applications is Friday, March 24.
You can find an application form for this and other opportunities to celebrate online at sthelens.gov.uk/coronation.
