YOUTHS have been slammed by police for following a shocking social media trend in Burtonwood.
Police have over recent weeks and months said there have been reports of yobs engaging in anti-social behaviour by kicking front doors of homes.
This is in response to an apparent national trend on TikTok which has been slammed by Cheshire Police in Burtonwood.
Officers say the homes targeted have been those of elderly residents, who have been left frightened.

The force’s Burtonwood and Winwick Police team said: “The silly craze of kicking people’s front doors seems to have come to Burtonwood.
“I have had reports of youths targeting a door on Chapel Lane. The people they are targeting are elderly and frightened by what is happening.
“If you see this or know who is involved, call 101 and report it.
“This really is unacceptable, and it is youths from the village. Have a word with your kids before they go out tonight about behaviour and consequences. This will not be tolerated.”
