A STRETCH of the East Lancashire Road has been blocked this morning (Wednesday) due to a crash.
There is growing traffic in the area between Haydock Island and Newton Road, Golborne.
The road has been blocked westbound.

Live traffic tracker Inrix stated as of 7am: "A580 East Lancashire Road Westbound blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from Newton Lane (Golborne) to M6 J23 (Haydock, Haydock).
"Sensors detect the road is now blocked."
