RESTAURANTS and takeaways in St Helens have been given high food hygiene ratings in the latest round of inspections.
From a score of zero to five, food hygiene ratings are given to food handling businesses after an inspection has assessed how well they comply with food safety laws.
The rating reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority.

Reds
Reds, on Church Road in Rainford, was given a five-out-of-five food hygiene rating from its inspection on February 21.
The food hygiene assessment found that the cafe and takeaway's management of food safety was "Very Good".
The cleanliness and condition of the building and the business' hygienic food handling were also rated as "Good" in the inspection.
The Boars Head
The Boars Head, on Elton Head Road in Sutton Heath, was also given a five-out-of-five food hygiene rating from its inspection on February 16.
The food hygiene assessment found that the pub's management of food safety was "Good".
The cleanliness and condition of the building and the business' hygienic food handling were also rated as "Good" in the inspection.
HOTBOX
HOTBOX, on Longton Lane in Rainhill, was also given a five-out-of-five food hygiene rating from its inspection on February 16.
The food hygiene assessment found that the takeaway's management of food safety was "Good".
The cleanliness and condition of the building and the business' hygienic food handling were also rated as "Good" in the inspection.
The Eccleston Arms
The Eccleston Arms Bar and Grill, on Prescot Road in Eccleston, was given a four-out-of-five food hygiene rating from its inspection on February 21.
The food hygiene assessment found that the cleanliness and condition of the building and the business' hygienic food handling were "Good".
The pub's management of food safety was rated as being "Generally Satisfactory" by inspectors.
