A SUSPECTED shoplifter was chased down by police after allegedly snatching Saints merchandise from the club.
Just days after Saints were crowned world club champions, police say a man took several items from the shop at the Totally Wicked stadium without paying.
Staff followed the man and then pointed him out to police community support officers.

The officer chased the suspect along Peasley Cross Lane and soon ran him down.
He was tackled on Phoenix Brow before being assisted by officers from the police’s Response and Resolution Team.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and for an alleged bail offence.
The man, who is of no fixed address, is currently in custody.
