ST HELENS Chamber has been celebrating achieving a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection.

Located on Salisbury Street, off Chalon Way close to the town centre, St Helens Chamber offers a range of Apprenticeship training for both adults and young people, as well as short training courses for adults across the Liverpool City Region.

The Chamber was given a grade of 'Requires Improvement' in its last full Ofsted inspection in 2020, so its recent rating highlights the improvement the college has made.

The 'Good' rating was reflected over all areas of St Helens Chamber’s training and safeguarding delivery, and the report noted that learners at the Chamber felt safe and supported and knew who to contact should they have safety concerns.

Inspectors commented on learners appreciating the support they get from staff and that combined with high-quality training, means that "apprentices move closer to achieving their career goals and ambitions and are well supported to develop their confidence".

Learning programmes were said to be "ambitious and meaningful" where students can "improve their future career prospects and their lives".

It was further noted how all adult learners and the large majority of young learners progress into employment following enrolment at the Chamber.

“We really pride ourselves on the quality of our provision, so to have this recognised by Ofsted is a fantastic achievement.”
