BRITISH clothing retail chain, Bonmarche, are set to move into a new store within Church Square Shopping Centre.
With the lease recently completed, the retailer will be relocating from the Hardshaw Shopping centre into a 5,051 sq. ft. store, previously Select, with Select relocating to the former Burton’s building on Church Street.
Opening date
Bonmarche is set to open its doors in early February and shoppers can expect the store to offer a wide range of womenswear at the great value that the retailer is known for.
Amanda Waterfield, retail director for Bon Marche commented: “We’re delighted to be relocating to Church Square Shopping Centre where we will continue to offer flattering and feminine styles for women, without compromising on comfort.
“Our new store will include our brand new Lorraine Loves collection, curated by the nation’s favourite TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.”
Steve Brogan, centre manager of Church Square Shopping Centre, added: “We are looking forward to welcoming Bonmarche and its customers to the Centre.
“We are really pleased to be consolidating the retail assets here in St Helens at Church Square. We believe that Bonmarche will complement the mix of retailers the Centre already has and will be a wonderful addition to the centre.”
'Vote of confidence'
Councillor Kate Groucutt, cabinet member for inclusive economy, business and skills, on behalf of St Helens council, stated: “We know that residents have been supportive of brands like Bonmarche throughout its time here in St Helens and we’re delighted to see them commit to our borough for the future in their new home in Church Square Shopping Centre.
“As we move forward with our plans for regeneration of St Helens town centre we will continue to work with big name brands to find new homes in the town centre.
“It’s a vote of confidence in our exciting regeneration plans that businesses want to stay in the town and will help us to create a vibrant space with different options for people of all ages.”
