POLICE say that inquiries are ongoing to identify thieves after a series of Land Rover cars have been stolen, including some in broad daylight.
Spate of Land Rover thefts
The Star reported after officers in St Helens said there has been a recent spate of thefts of the expensive vehicles.
Police have some more detail about the thefts.
Where have thefts taken place?
A Merseyside Police spokesman said the thefts have occurred in Eccleston and Eccleston Park area, as well as in Newton-le-Willows.
He added: "Models targeted are Land Rover Discovery, Land Rover Evoque/Sport and inquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects."

Officers said the recent thefts saw the vehicles stolen without keys.
In some instances the cars were taken during the daytime.
'Please take extra steps to secure your vehicle'
In a statement last Friday, January 20, police in St Helens said: “Please take extra steps to secure your vehicle, including using steering wheel locks, and place your keys, including the spare keys, in sealed metal containers or use a Faraday case.”
Police say they have been patrolling crime hotspot locations on foot and in car as part of action to tackle the thefts.
