'Plan journeys ahead'
In a statement, earlier this week, St Helens Borough Council said: "Next Monday, January, 16, we’ll be carrying out essential road resurfacing works in Millfield Lane, Haydock, by the roundabout at its junction with Piele Road and Hall Wood Avenue.
"In order to complete the works - expected to take five days, subject to weather conditions -the east and west arms of the roundabout will be closed, with access to Hall Wood Avenue available via Piele Road.
"Motorists are advised to plan their journeys ahead to avoid delays and a signed diversion will be in place."
