A MONTHLY yoga workshop is coming to St Helens to support young people’s mental health.
Jane Bennett, a yoga therapist who has worked with youths in the area, is offering sessions to support teenagers’ mental wellbeing following the aftermath of the pandemic.
The monthly sessions will offer adults and young people a safe space to express their emotions in a calm environment.

Jane said: "Many of the children I know who were coping fine three years ago, are now teenagers and have been through so much in the past three years and are now struggling with their emotional wellbeing.
"All of our lives changed drastically overnight and young people were cut off from their peers and for some of them, their main support network.
"From speaking to parents, carers, and young people themselves, it’s clear that many are still feeling the impact on their emotional wellbeing which is why I have set up these workshops."
The mental health workshops will combine yoga, mindfulness, creativity, and practices to develop resilience and relaxation.
The first session will take place on Sunday, January 15 at Rainford Village Hall from 10-11:30 am.
