POLICE shave issued a warning after receiving reports of "dangerous parking" near to a primary school.
Officers attended Sanderling Road, near to Newton-le-Willows Primary School on Wednesday afternoon, January 4.
Officers issued a warning after recent reports, stressing there is "no excuse for parking either illegally or dangerously" in the area.
Police urged motorists not to park on zig-zag lines and to leave room for pedestrians when parked on the pavement.

In a statement, St Helens Police said: "This (Wednesday) afternoon Team 1’s Newton officers attended Newton-le-Willows Primary School following numerous reports of dangerous parking.
"At St Helens police we consider ourselves to be fair and use our discretion as much as possible when applicable, but there is no excuse for parking either illegally or dangerously."
It added: "If you are going to park on the pavement then please make sure to leave enough room for pedestrians, especially wheelchair users/prams and do not park on the zig zags... common sense can be a wonderful thing.
"We will be visiting Sanderling Road more frequently in the upcoming days."
