A man was found with head injuries on a street in Prescot earlier this morning (Sunday, January 1).
The man, in his 50s, was found on Bridge Road, at the corner of Warrington Road by members of the public at 6.15am and has been taken to hospital.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson read: “At this stage it is not clear how he came about his injury and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
"Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting log 383 of 1 st January."
