BIG names are scheduled to make an appearance at St Helens Theatre Royal in the new year.

The theatre will see a line-up of stars take the stage in 2023, including football legends and iconic singers.

The St Helens venue, owned by Regal Entertainments Ltd since 2021, has released a star-studded events list with key dates of the big names coming to Theatre Royal.

Here are some of the big names coming to St Helens Theatre Royal in 2023:

Lulu

St Helens Star:

The bona fide British singer will take the stage later in the year as she is set to appear at St Helens Theatre Royal in November.

The Shout singer, who has worked alongside other music legends including Elton John, David Bowie, and Paul McCartney, will greet the people of St Helens with an insightful evening as she discusses her life.

Untold stories, memories, and experiences of the Scottish star will be shared, with the audience also able to enjoy the singer’s classic hits.

This is Lulu – For the Record, will take place at the Theatre Royal on Friday November 10.

Sir Geoff Hurst MBE

St Helens Star:

Sir Geoff Hurst MBE is among the big names set to make an appearance at St Helens Theatre Royal in 2023.

The football legend will take the stage at the Corporation Street venue in February at part of his tour.

The former West Ham and England footballer, described as the hat trick hero as he became the first player to score three goals in a World Cup final back in 1966, is returning to St Helens following a successful appearance in 2019

The evening will see the 81-year-old discuss his career as a professional footballer, before a Q&A session in the second half of the night.

Sir Geoff Hurst MBE will be live on stage at St Helens Theatre Royal on Thursday February 9.

Sarah Millican

British comedian Sarah Millican is among the well-known names coming to St Helens Theatre Royal in 2023.

The 47-year-old is set tour the UK with her brand-new stand up show Late Bloomer.

The show is promised to get the audience laughing as a hilarious evening heads to St Helens.

Sarah’s stand up show at St Helens Theatre Royal will take place on Wednesday September 27.

Giovanni Pernice

Strictly Come Dancing’s Giovanni Pernice is also heading to the St Helens venue in 2023.

The Italian professional dancer and the 2021 winner of the BBC dance competition is showcasing his brand-new production Made in Italy.

The Italian-themed show features an incredible soundtrack and stunning choreography from a collection of dancers and singers.

Giovanni will be bring Italy to St Helens on Tuesday February 7.

Paul Young

St Helens Star:

This 80s icon, who rose to fame in 1983 with his debut album No Parlez, is set to take the stage at the St Helens theatre as part of his UK tour.

To mark the 40th anniversary of his debut album, Paul is releasing a new record and publishing a memoir, both called Behind the Lens, which the Come Back and Stay singer will discuss on the evening, along with performing some of his best hits and share stories of his career in the music industry.

The 66-year-old singer will greet his St Helens fans at the Theatre Royal on Friday March 31.

Francis Rossi

St Helens Star:

Francis Rossi OBE is heading to St Helens in November to perform well-known hits and some unheard material.

The member of the rock band Status Quo will carry out some acoustic versions of the band’s classic hits and some other classics that have spanned over a 50 plus years career.

The 73-year-old, who performed a memorable set during the Live Aid concert in 1985 alongside the late Rick Parfitt, will also take part in a conversation with the audience during his appearance at St Helens Theatre Royal on Wednesday November 29.

Lancashire Hotpots

The much-loved St Helens band is coming to the Theatre Royal in 2023 to host a hilarious evening full of silly songs.

Hotpots hits including I Fear Ikea, Egg, Sausage, Chips and Beans, and Chippy Tea will be performed as the Lancashire lads present their Good Times tour.

The Lancashire Hotpots will take the stage on Saturday May 20.

Psychic Sally

Sally Morgan, also known as Psychic Sally, is coming to St Helens Theatre Royal this month.

The British self-proclaimed psychic medium and star of the hit TV series Psychic Sally’s Big Fat Operation is taking the stage as she is back on tour.

The Celebrity Big Brother star will use her abilities to pass messages to the audience in an evening promised to be filled with “love, laughter and warmth”.

Psychic Sally will present her show at St Helens Theatre Royal on Tuesday January 24.
