FIREFIGHTERS were called to the scene of a vehicle on fire in Laffak this morning.

At around 8.45am on Monday, December 12, the fire service was called to the scene on Markfield Crescent

One fire engine arrived to find a white Peugeot taxi ablaze.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, while a second vehicle was damaged as a result of radiated heat.

It is believed the fire started accidentally, and no injuries have been reported.

Crews left the scene at 9.32am.
