A "LOVELY Christmas Elf" went out of her way to find a young girl a present last weekend, to make sure that she was not left out again.
With an "enormous list" of allergies, Luna Donnellan-Brown, from Rainford, often misses out on food and experiences that her friends and family are able to have.
As Luna was unable to eat any of the chocolate gifts at Rainford Christmas Fayre on Saturday, December 3, a festive elf "made it her mission" to make sure the three-year-old did not go home empty handed.
Searching around the community fayre, the woman found a handmade and festive Mickey Mouse headband to brighten Luna's day before she went into Santa's Grotto.

Luna's mum Alex, who is a cancer support nurse, said: "Luna is good with her allergies but it can be heartbreaking when she gets upset at missing out on things her friends are doing.
"It's my job to make sure what she can and can't have, which can be quite stressful, so it was so nice to see someone go out of their way to make sure she didn't miss out."
With the difficulties posed by Luna's allergies, Alex said the family does not often go on holiday or to new restaurants.
However, after visiting different restaurants in Rainford, each venue has crafted little Luna an off-menu meal that she can enjoy without having to worry about her allergies.
Grateful for the support she receives in the community, this allows the family "to have some sort of normality", the mum added.
Gifted with a Mickey Mouse headband, getting to see Father Christmas in his Grotto, and enjoying the other entertainment and activities at Rainford Christmas Fayre, Luna is said to have "absolutely loved" the festive occasion.
