A SERIOUS road traffic collision has left a teenager in a critical condition, police have reported.
A Silver Vauxhall Astra is reported to have collided with a 13-year-old boy on a stretch of the East Lancs Road in Croxteth, near to the Showcase Cinema on Stonedale Retail Park.
The incident happened at around 7.20pm on Wednesday, December 7, with the boy being rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
It is reported that he is in a "critical condition".

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra, a 34-year-old man from West Derby, has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving.
He was taken to a police station and remains in custody.
Detective Sergeant Amy Murray from our Matrix Roads Policing Unit said: "The family of the boy are being supported by officers as our enquiries continue.
"If you witnessed the incident or hold any CCTV, dashcam or other information, please come forward now."
