A ROAD has been reopened after works to install a new sewer connection overran.
Fleet Lane in Parr had been subject to a closure since October 24 for the works to be carried out.
However, "difficulties on site" meant these took longer than expected, and the scheduled reopening in November did not take place.
The road reopened over the weekend, the council said.

A St Helens Borough Council spokesman said: "The road has been closed to allow the installation of a new a sewer connection and the closure was in place from October initially.
"It was due to reopen in November originally but had to be extended because of difficulties on site. The closure remained in place last Friday, December 2, but the road is now reopened."
