IF you’re one of those people who puts their Christmas tree up just a few days before the big day then look away now.
Many people believe there are 12 days of Christmas and wait until much later in December to put their festive decorations up.
But some St Helens residents have been getting into the Christmas cheer early this year and already have their tree up.
Baubles, lights and bows have all come out of the loft and are brightening homes across the town.
Scientists have proven that people who put their decorations up early are happier than people who wait revealing that the strong feelings of childhood and nostalgia associated with Christmas extends the excitement and lightens stress and anxiety.
Here are some of the best dressed trees in St Helens – some of which have been in people’s living rooms since mid November!
