POLICE have charged two suspects in connection with an alleged assault on a man in the street.
The men have also been charged in connection with an assault in a taxi the around half an hour earlier.
The Star reported after a police cordon was in place in Parr from the early hours of Friday morning, December 2, after a reported assault.
Officers on patrol reportedly saw two men allegedly attacking another man on Fleet Lane, off Parr Stocks Road at around midnight.
The alleged victim suffered injuries to his face and a parked vehicle was damaged on the road.
Police have charged Daniel Statham, 31, of Pollitt Crescent, Clock Face, with affray and criminal damage in connection with the disturbance.
Meanwhile, Jack Woosnam, 23, of Central Drive, Haydock, was also charged with affray and criminal damage.

Following inquiries, both suspects have also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) in connection with an incident at around 11.30pm on Thursday, December 1, around 30 minutes prior to the Fleet Lane incident.
During this a man had been assaulted in a taxi on New Cross Street South, St Helens, sustaining facial and leg injuries.
The two suspects appeared in court on Saturday, December 3.
Statham and Woosnam were remanded into custody for a trial on Wednesday, January 9, 2023.
