ST HELENS Could see snow later this week, according to a BBC forecast.
Temperatures are set to fall below freezing later this week.
And there could be snowfall, although there are variances in predictions according to different forecasters.
What the forecasts say for St Helens
The BBC says temperatures could drop to -2C through the early hours of Wednesday and that there could be four hours of snow from 8am on Thursday.
The BBC receives its forecasts from MeteoGroup, a private weather forecasting group. These can differ from the information supplied by the Met Office.
The Met Office is forecasting temperatures to plummet midweek, to -2C through the early hours of Thursday and -4C through the early hours of Friday.
However, it is not predicting snow.
