ST HELENS singer Jacqui Abbott has pulled out of three gigs of her UK tour with Paul Heaton this month.
With their latest album 'N.K. Pop' going to Number One in October, the band began their highly-anticipated arena tour with singer-songwriter Billy Bragg in Swansea last week.
In the midst of a cost of living crisis and "greed within the [music] industry", Jacqui and Paul have been commended for capping their tour tickets at just £30.

Jacqui and Paul delighted fans with her fabulous homecoming gig at the Totally Wicked Stadium this summer, but after just three gigs on the 'N.K. Pop' tour, Jacqui has had to pull out of shows in Bridlington, Glasgow, and Stockton following medical advice.
It is hoped that the Sutton singer can rejoin the tour as soon as possible, with a huge show planned at Manchester's AO Arena next Saturday (December 10).

For those who choose to retain their tickets for the next three shows, I promise you that myself & the boys will put on a show to remember. We'll sorely miss Jacqui but our intent is to make those who refund their tickets bitterly regret that decision 😂Thanks for your support❤️

Announcing the news, Paul Heaton confirmed that fans will be able to claim a refund for the shows if they preferred to have seen Jacqui perform.
However, the singer joked that those who do refund their tickets will "bitterly regret that decision".
In a statement on Thursday, December 1, Paul Heaton said: "We're really sorry to say that following doctor's medical advice, Jacqui will sadly be unable to perform at the Bridlington, Glasgow and Stockton shows this weekend.
"We look forward to Jacqui rejoining the tour soon and we will keep you up to date with her progress.
"In the meantime, Paul & the band look forward to putting on a great show for you all tonight and at all the shows this weekend."
