ONE person was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in the front room of a house.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at a terraced property on Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows shortly after 1pm on Wednesday, November 30.
Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
Three people were assessed by paramedics. One was taken to hospital for further assessment, a spokeswoman for the fire and rescue service said.

The Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service spokeswoman added: "MFRS was called to Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows, on Wednesday, November 30.
"Crews were alerted at 1.12pm and on scene at 1.15am. Two fire engines attended.
"On arrival crews found a fire in the front room of a terraced house.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"Three people were assessed at the scene by paramedics, with one of them taken to hospital for further assessment.
"Fire crews left the scene at 2.17pm."
