A WOMAN was assaulted and had her mobile phone stolen by another female in what police believe was a "targeted attack".
The victim was robbed at the junction of Prescot Road and Carlton Street on Friday night, November 25.
The woman, in her 30s, suffered "minor injuries" after she was assaulted and had her phone stolen at around 10.45pm.
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after the robbery.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm we are investigating following a report that a woman was the victim of a robbery in St Helens on Friday, November 25.
"At around 10.45pm, a woman in her 30s was assaulted by a woman at the junction of Prescot Road and Carlton Street and her mobile phone was stolen. She sustained minor injuries.
"This was believed to be a targeted attack.
"Inquiries are ongoing into this incident.
