POLICE and the air ambulance have explained their presence in Haydock on Saturday afternoon (November 26).
Residents reported seeing a helicopter from the air ambulance land at King Gerge V Playing Fields on Saturday afternoon, November 26.
A police presence was also seen at the time, around the area of the park and Ireland Road, as well as road ambulance.
North West Air Ambulance said they were called to an incident at a "private address" and were therefore unable to comment further on the incident.
Meanwhile, police said they received a call over youths gathering near to the air ambulance helicopter and attended the scene.

A spokeswoman for North West Air Ambulance said: "We can confirm that the North West Air Ambulance Charity was called to an incident in Haydock on November 26, and H75 responded.
"The incident occurred on private property, we have no further information at this time."
Meanwhile, a Merseyside Police spokesman added: "An air ambulance landed in the area to deal with a medical issue at around 3.30pm.
"Merseyside Police were contacted due to a gathering of youths near to the helicopter.
"No crimes were committed and officers left the area soon afterwards."
