POLICE are investigating after a dog allegedly bit a man and his dog on a walk in St Helens.
The incident is said to have taken place at around 5pm on Monday, Septemeber 26.
It has been reported that a black staff-type dog ran over and bit the man and his dog, as they were walking along Chapel Street, close to the town centre.
The man suffered a bite to this finger and his dog had a wound on his back and was taken to the vets for treatment.
Following an investigation, police have now released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
Officers feel she may be able to provide valuable information which would assist in the investigation of the matter.
