QUEUES of traffic are reported to have built up around the M6 in St Helens this morning.
M6 Northbound
On Monday, November 28, the M6 Northbound exit slip road is reported to be closed due to recovery work and a broken down lorry at Haydock Island on junction 23.
INRIX reports that congestion is backed up through Newton-le-Willows to junction 21A at Croft Interchange.
M62 Eastbound
On the M62, there is also reported to be queues due to an accident around Rainhill.
One lane has been closed and traffic is reported to be backed up from junction 7 at Warrington Road/ Rainhill Stoops to junction 6 at Tarbock Island.
M6 Southbound
Long delays are also reported on the M6 Southbound, not far from St Helens.
Two lanes are blocked due to an accident on the third lane of the M6, around the Orrell Interchange at junction 26 and Bryn at junction 25.
Congestion is reported to be built up to junction 27 at Standish, which may impact motorists driving South on the M6 in St Helens.
