POLICE targeted speeding drivers travelling at a number of locations across St Helens.
Community officers were at several locations across the borough including Reginald Road, Sherdley Road and Borough Road.
In a statement, police revealed 33 vehicles had been stopped for exceeding the speed limit on Friday.
Three of them were issued with penalties for travelling above 40mph in a 30mph zone.
In as statement police said: “Stick to the speed limit, nothing to worry about.
"Think your licence makes you immune from bothering with it, well it doesn't.”
