THE festive season is officially here with a mission to find the ideal spot to celebrate.
Local bars and restaurants are ready to welcome holidaymakers as festivities are taking place.
To help find the perfect spot to celebrate the festive season, here are five places in Newton-le-Willows to go for a Christmas meal:
Ariete
This authentic italian restaurant based on Newton High Street will be open on Christmas day to offer a delicious festive meal.
Christmas do's prior to December 25 are also able to be held at the restaurant, with those interested encouraged to book in advance.
A Christmas Party menu and a Christmas Day menu are available, with prices starting at £32.95 per person.
The Kirkfield
This hotel and bar on Church Street is a cosy setting for a Christmas meal.
A festive menu is available at £25 per person, which includes a three-course meal at the hotel's restaurant.
Parties between 10-30 people are able to book, with the menu needing to be booked in advance.
The festive menu will be available from December 1 until December 30 (excluding December 24 and 26)

Verona Kitchen and Bar
A Christmas meal in a stylish setting will be possible at Verona, as the kitchen and bar on Newton High Street offers a festive menu.
The three-course meal available on the festive menu is £30 per person, with a different set menu for Christmas Day.
The restaurant also offers a range of Christmas Party options for any size group.
The Christmas Day meal will be served between 12pm-4pm on December 25.
The Victoria
This traditional pub based on Wargrave Road is offering a family-friendly space for festivities.
A Christmas menu has been launched, with Christmas-themed cocktails also served at the pub for £6.25.
Booking is advised.
The Pied Bull
This feel-good pub at the heart of Newton High Street is offering both a Festive Party menu and a Christmas Day menu.
A three-course meal will be served for both occassions, with the Christmas Day meal available for £75, and the Festive Party menu for £32.
A selection of festive cocktails and bubblies will also be on hand.
