A LOCAL band is up for three awards.
The K’s, a band from Earlestown, have been nominated for band of the year, single of the year, and music video of the year in the Warrington Music Awards 2022.
The band shared their joy of being nominated on their social media page, with the announcement well received by their 11,000 Facebook followers.
Band members were "delighted" with their nominations, as their latest single 'hometown' secured them a spot as potential winners.
Jamie Boyle, vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band, said: "It's always mint to be nominated for an award, never mind three. We're really grateful for all the support we get from the town.
"I hope that we can continue doing it proud."
The K’s were also nominated for the Imperial Quarter-sponsored Arts Award in the Pride of St Helens Awards 2022, however, missed out on first place when Britain's Got Talent and Rainford schoolboy Jamie Leahey took home the title.

The band has also had to say goodbye to a fellow member, described as their "best friend and brother", as Jordan Holden, drummer of the band, made the decision to take time out of the band.
The other members have yet discussed the future of the band.
The Warrington Music Awards takes place on Thursday December 8 at The Brass Monkey on Cairo Street, Warrington.
