POLICE are urging anyone who knows where scrambler bikes which have been used to cause a menace to residents in Haydock are being stored to come forward.
Officers have been made aware of recent reports of scrambler bikes being ridden in an anti-social manner in the Haydock area and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Over the weekend, officers appealed for information to trace the rider of a green bike after receiving complaints.
Police said the bike had been used to terrorise residents of Haydock for over a month now, dodging traffic and doing wheelies in and out of cars.
They added that there had been complaints of a dog walkers nearly being hit by the motorbike.
Officers are urging anyone who has information on where this and other nuisance bikes in the area are being stored to contact them.

Community Inspector Jon Smith said: “Anyone riding a scrambler bike at speed or in an anti-social manner on our roads, particularly without a helmet, risks causing themselves and others serious injury.
“These people have no regard for anyone but themselves and don’t care about the consequences of their actions.
“We will continue to take pro-active action against those involved in the criminal use of scrambler bikes on our roads and will do everything possible to locate and seize suspected stolen or nuisance bikes and arrest those who are putting the safety of others at risk.
“I would like to take this opportunity to reassure communities in Haydock that we understand their concerns about scrambler bikes and are relentless in our efforts to tackle them.
“I appeal to anyone who has information about where these bikes are being stored to do the right thing and contact us."
