A COMPANY based in Newton-le-Willows is holding an event to recognise White Ribbon Day on Friday.
White Ribbon is a global campaign aiming at supporting victims of abuse and ending violence towards women.
Kingdom Services Group on Ashton Road will hold the event to encourage its staff to back up the campaign and offer advice to ensure the safety of employees.
The company signed up to the initiative earlier this year, with several members of management enrolling as an ambassador.

Steve Jackson, Kingdom IT director and White Ribbon ambassador, said: "I’m one of the first ambassadors at Kingdom, but the aim of the event later this month is to encourage as many of our other 7,000+ colleagues across Group to sign up and then for it to snowball from there.
"The more of us that sign up to be ambassadors, the bigger the difference we will be able to make. I’m looking forward to encouraging more of my colleagues to get involved."
The company director is also hoping to offer advice on cyber safety and ensure the safety of staff both at work and at home.
Anthea Sully, chief executive of White Ribbon UK, added: "White Ribbon accredited organisations can make a real difference towards ending violence against women by promoting a culture of respect and equality, amongst their staff and wider communities.
"By raising awareness among employees, people can learn how to become allies and call out violent and abusive behaviour when they see it, at work and outside."
