POLICE are investigating the "assault" of a teenager and her grandparents outside Haydock Tesco over the weekend.
It was reported that a 14-year-old girl and a man were assaulted outside the Bellerophon Way supermarket at around 7.30pm on Saturday, November 19.
A group of around 20 kids are reported to have been present at the scene, with one girl alleged to have been the main attacker.

As the victim's grandparents tried to save her from the "assault", her granddad, in his late 60s, was allegedly punched by one of the group while a bottle is reported to have been thrown at her grandmother.
The girl's grandmother said that the family is "extremely shaken up" after the incident, with her granddaughter a "nervous wreck".
She said her granddaughter has been bullied in recent months and that bullying is "never acceptable".
Following the alleged assault, police officers attended and spoke with the victims at the scene.
No injuries were reported but an investigation is underway and CCTV enquiries are ongoing in the area.
