A STRETCH of the East Lancs Road has reopened after a closure tonight due to a police incident.
The Manchester-bound dual carriageway was shut from Windle Island to the junction with Carr Mill Road, according to traffic reports.
No details on the nature of the incident have been released at this stage.
It has since reopened.
