A SALON owner has shared her reaction after taking home five awards from a business ceremony.
Claire Jones, owner of the Self Love Salon on Baldwin Street, was over the moon to discover she and her team had bagged five awards from the six categories they were nominated for.
The salon and its staff received the sustainability award, best customer experience, Bridal stylist of the year for Nicky Agnew, future talent award for Jessica Cunliffe, and colourist of the year for Claire herself.
The team went down to London on Sunday to receive their awards.

Discussing the accomplishment, Claire said: "It’s absolutely amazing to be recognised for the efforts that you put in.
"The customer experience and sustainability awards I’m personally made up with, as that’s the whole key to our salon about how people feel.
"I’m really proud of the girls as they weren’t even going to enter it, but they had the courage to enter and we worked together to build each other’s confidence, so for them to enter and win it just goes to show you need to believe in yourself, love yourself, and this is what we want to create in our salon."
The 40-year-old opened her business in 2018 as she hoped to introduce a salon in St Helens that accommodates for both "inner and outer beauty."
Self Love Salon also advocates for an eco-friendly business as it recycles materials when possible, including hair and foil and has installed eco taps to reduce water wastage.
Discussing the future of the salon, the business owner added: "We’re going to keep working on how we can give really good experiences and listen to clients.
"We’re planning to do a mental health first aid course in the new year and we’re also going to look at inspirational talks.
"I also want to trial my future courses and hopefully launch them to help more students progress."
