PLANS to convert a launderette into two houses have been granted permission.
Proposals were put together for The Launderette building on Boundary Road, and the application was sent to St Helens Council by applicants TJM Projects Ltd.
This sought permission for a change of use from a launderette into two separate houses.
One property will have one-bedroom and the other two.

In a report, case officer Natasha Ayres recommended approval for the plans.
It stated: "Overall the space provided is not outstanding in terms of the quality of living accommodation however they are acceptable".
It stated there were no objections from the highways officer and the "EHO noise officer commented and raised no concerns".
It was said "on balance, it is considered that the proposal would comply" with policies.
Formal consent was granted.
