WEEKENDS at Church Square Shopping Centre will be a festive sight as Santa will be paying a visit.
The shopping centre in St Helens will welcome Santa and his head elf every weekend throughout November and December.
Children will be invited to meet Santa and ask what they would like for Christmas, before taking home a sweet treat.
The visits are free to attend, with Santa’s first stop taking place today to coincide with the town centre’s Christmas light switch on this weekend.

Steve Brogan, Church Square Shopping Centre manager, said: "I am really excited to have Father Christmas return to the Centre this year, helping the Centre get in the Christmas spirit."

A life-sized advent calendar will also be displayed at the shopping centre, providing visitors with a chance to win festive prizes between December 1-12.
To be eligible for a prize, customers will need to fill an entry form with the winner picked at random.
