A POPULAR bar has reopened on Duke Street in St Helens – which is welcome news for its regulars.
The Newsroom has been closed for the last six weeks but, following an upgrade inside, it has reopened its doors to welcome customers old and new.
Owner Mark McLoughlin had a successful reopening weekend, with regulars returning to their favourite drinking spot.
With Belgian beers, cask ales and more than 40 gins on offer, there promises to be something to suit everyone’s tastes.
Mark said: “The place was packed all weekend and it was nice to see regulars returning.
“We’re hoping for more of the same each weekend as there’s such a fantastic atmosphere inside.
“Customers’ comments have been really positive and we’re grateful for their continued support.”
Running successful town centre bars runs in the family with Mark’s daughter Hannah running Cinema Bar, also on Duke Street.
This venue took home the award for St Helens’ best pub earlier this year in our Best of 2022 competition.
