CHRISTMAS has arrived at Whitakers Garden Centre as it gets ready to host a festive open weekend.
The garden centre in Prescot has announced a festive-filled schedule promised to put you in the Christmas spirit.
Crafts, competitions, a visit from Santa, as well as mulled wine and sweets treats, are some of the festive favourites at the centre.
A complimentary mulled wine and fresh juice will be provided on arrival, followed by two complimentary homemade scones from the centre’s café.
The open weekend will mark the event’s return following a two-year break due to the pandemic.

A minimum donation of £1 is required with all proceeds to go towards Willowbrook Hospice and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
Ian Lammond, Whitakers Garden Centre manager, said: "As it’s our last Christmas at our Liverpool Road store, we wanted to make it a really special one for all our loyal customers and community.
"We want to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to join us in the festive celebrations. Grab yourself a mulled wine and enjoy the festivities.
"We also like to think of Christmas as a time of giving, and that’s why this year all our competition proceeds will be donated to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice and Willowbrook Hospice."
The festive weekend will also offer a chance for children to take part in a store-wide 'find the husky hunt' and a craft competition, with the best illustration to win a visit to see Santa next month.
Adults will also have the opportunity to take part a competition, with the winner of 'guess the number of snowballs in a jar' quiz to receive a three-course Christmas meal at the centre café.
Santa and his elf will start the festivities at 9:30am.
The garden centre will be relocating to Manchester Road next spring.
