RESIDENTS have submitted objections against a proposed 5G mast for which a planning application has been submitted.
Proposals have been submitted to St Helens Council by CK Hutchison Networks (UK) Ltd to install a 15m monopole in Dentons Green.
According to the plans, the mast would be situated on Rainford Road, near to the junction of Walton Road, close to Hard Lane.
The application states: "The location has been identified as being necessary for CK Hutchison Networks (UK) Ltd business development and meets its specific technical and operational requirements".

Numerous letters of objection have been submitted to the council against the plans, which were submitted on October 31.
Some residents environmental concerns over the proposals.
One said: "I object to the appearance of the mast. It will adversely affect the view, it will not be in keeping with the surroundings, and it will affect the enjoyment of the neighbourhood for residents".
Another added: "The mast will adversely affect/dominate the view, it is ugly and obtrusive, and not in keeping with the surrounding area, and will degrade the look of this quiet residential area, one of the most attractive gateways to our town, the appearance will affect people’s quiet enjoyment of the neighbourhood and will cause anxiety, and will affect property prices around the site of 5G masts."
Public consultation on the plans lasts until Tuesday, December 8.
