A MUM who went viral for her Beyonce cover is returning to the mic to perform at this year's Christmas lights switch on.
Kerrie Ann Lomas discovered overnight online fame after a video of her singing Beyonce's 'Listen' went viral back in 2018.
The singer from Newton-le-Willows soon received requests to perform at venues and events, including last years' Christmas light switch on in Earlestown, where she announced that she would be calling it a day to focus on her children and full-time work.
After a year-long break, the mum-of-two has agreed to return to the stage for the festive switch-on.
Kerrie said: "I know I said I wasn’t going to be singing anymore and I was hanging the mic up, but I really feel like I’ve taken a whole year, spent time with my kids and family, and get stuck into my full-time job, so when I was asked to sing the St Helens and Earlestown switch on again I was over the moon.
"I enjoyed it so much last time; the festive cheer, the way everyone in the town pulls together, and it’s just an honour to do it again and of course, I said yes.
"I’m so proud of where I’m from and it’s really nice that I’ve been asked to do it again. It’s definitely been a while, but I’m more than excited to be there – bring it on."

Despite her decision to no longer carry out gigs, the 32-year-old performed at charitable events, including Earlestown’s Family Fun Day in August.
The St Helens town centre Christmas lights switch-on will be held in Church Square on Saturday, November 26, followed by the Earlestown switch-on the day after (Sunday, November 27) with both events getting underway at noon.
