ENGLAND skipper Emily Rudge had plenty of support in the World Cup semi final game against New Zealand last night.
Pupils from Rainford High School, where she teaches, held up placards at the York stadium to cheer on Miss Rudge.
The Saints second rower led from the front, but alas the full time Kiwis overpowered them 20-6 in front of a raucous 7,139 crowd.
Afterwards Rudge went over to the cheering fans to thank them for their support.
