A POLICE car was involved in a crash this evening.
Merseyside Police confirmed the patrol vehicle had been involved in a crash in Newton-le-Willows.
The incident happened on Winston Avenue at the junction with Victoria Road.
Residents confirmed a road closure was in place following the crash.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said one person had suffered a “slight injury”.
It is not clear at this stage if the police car was responding to an incident.
The force spokesperson said no further information was available at this time.
