FILM crews descended on St Helens this week where they are believed to be recording a major Paramount+ crime drama.
The new series Sexy Beast - a prequel to the 2000 gangster classic Sexy Beast - has seen film crews take over Birchley Street car park.
St Helens Police station has been used as a film set once again, with film star James McArdle reportedly taking the starring role as Gal Dove.
Vintage emergency vehicles were seen parked up next to the police station.
The film crew has already been sighted in Liverpool.
The show will tell the story of the characters of the original 2000 film, which starred Ben Kingsley, Ian McShane, Amanda Redman and Ray Winstone, and featured a plot in London's criminal underworld.
