EMERGENCY services rushed to a road traffic collision on a busy St Helens road this afternoon.
At around 2.45pm on Wednesday, November 9, officers received a report that a bus had collided with a car on Peasley Cross Lane.
Arriving at the scene next to St Helens retail park, police and fire crews found a single-decker Arriva bus had crashed with a blue Nissan Qashqai.

As a result of the impact, the bus suffered damage to the front of the vehicle and smashed its front window, while no extensive damage was reported on the Nissan.
Officers cordoned off Peasley Cross Lane to deal with the situation and one person was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
However, their injuries are not believed to be serious and the road was reopened a short time later.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We can confirm that officers attended a road traffic collision on Peasley Cross Lane, St Helens, this afternoon, Wednesday, November 9.
"At around 2.45pm we received a report that a collision had occurred between a bus and a Nissan car.
"There were no reported injuries.
