THE war memorial outside Earlestown Town Hall will be unboxed for Remembrance Day.
The memorial was cordoned off during the town hall's restoration as part of Earlestown's regeneration plans, with scaffolding covering the town centre landmark since work began in April.
The grade II listed building has been closed since 2008 due to budget savings, however, the recent investment into the town centre will see the historic town hall come back to life.
Progress has been made since work began on the building, with the war memorial displayed outside the town hall to be unboxed ahead of Remembrance Day and Earlestown's memorial service this Sunday.
Councillor Seve Gomez-Aspron MBE, said: "Extensive refurbishment works are well underway at Earlestown Town Hall, and our War Memorial had been boxed away to prevent any accidental knocks or damage from happening.
"However, the Memorial will be unboxed in time for the 11th November, and also our Remembrance Sunday commemorations on 13th November, with thanks to the Council and Contractor on site.
"All are welcome to both events. Lest we forget."
Those who wish to pay their respects are advised to head to the war memorial for 10:40am on Sunday, November 13.
