HERE is a look back at court cases we have covered over the past month in October which saw defendants sentenced for offence committed in St Helens.

These included a pervert pensioner who stripped naked at his window when the school bus arrived near his home; a van driver ran over a police officer as he attempted to flee a drugs search and a care worker who failed to visit a vulnerable sick pensioner who died from Covid alone in squalid conditions.
