A POP-UP cinema is coming to Merseyside this December, and it will be screening all the Christmas classics.
The Luna Winter Cinema is bringing two weeks of Christmas movies on the big screen in Liverpool’s St George’s Hall.
The stunning neo-classical architecture of the main hall at St George’s will once again be transformed into a magical winter setting, complete with giant Christmas trees, beautiful twinkly lights, and of course a sprinkling of snow.
The season features a line-up of every classic Christmas movie you can think of including, Love Actually, The Holiday, and It's A Wonderful Life, as well as family favourites such as Home Alone, Elf, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
George Wood, founder of The Luna Cinema, said: “There’s quite simply nothing like watching your favourite festive film to bring on that Christmas feeling.
“Everyone has their favourite title – each year I always say I don’t feel like it’s Christmas until I’ve watched Home Alone.
“We couldn’t be more excited to announce this year’s Luna winter season, and to be returning to St George’s Hall after two years away thanks to the pandemic, will make it even more special.
“There’s simply nothing like watching your favourite Christmas film in that unique setting in the heart of Liverpool.”
Liverpool is part of The Luna Cinema’s winter season that is appearing at four locations nationwide. Tickets are now available to purchase from https://www.thelunacinema.com/winter-2022/ , and prices start from £13.50. The full season runs from 2nd to 23rd December.
